Last year we decided to upgrade the OS on all of our servers to Windows 2003 Server including our domain controller. In addition, we decided to upgrade our mail server to Exchange 2003 and implement server backups using Retrospect. This upgrade also included upgrading the hardware for the mail server and domain controller to new machines. As is the case with most companies now days, we are very dependent on our intranet for many different services including mail, application licensing, printing and file storage. Cost, of course, was very important, but it was also extremely important to have an implementation or migration plan that kept system downtime to an absolute minimum. Zylatech developed a phased implementation plan that did just that. Our downtime was planned and it amounted to only 2 to 3 hours and that was broken up due to the phased implementation. We even had a hardware failure with one of the new servers and Zylatech was extremely instrumental in pulling all the required strings to obtain replacements and minimize any impact on our company's productivity.
